During plugin installation on your WordPress website, sometimes you may face the “Destination folder already exists” error.
When you install a plugin, WordPress creates a folder in “cPanel -> File manager -> Your domain name -> wp-content -> plugins” to extract the plugin files. The error occurs when the plugin installation fails for some reason and you try the installation again. Since the folder already exists from the previous attempt, you will receive the error message.
To fix the error, head to cPanel -> File Manager
Then under your domain name, go to the wp-content> plugins folder. Find the folder (usually the name of the plugin) and delete it.
Now you can reinstall the plugin.
